At Choose Your Attitude, our brand community is more than logos and positive affirmations. We are united by our passion for self-empowerment, which guides us as we unveil our respective purposes and develop our strongest mindset. Our brand perspective emerges from these core principles:
• Everyone has a story, and that story matters. Our stories are incredible sources of inspiration and insight, as well as opportunities to cultivate conversation and empower those who hear our stories.
• No matter our past experiences or mistakes, we are all welcome to enjoy a great future.
• With a resilience mindset, we can overcome even the most difficult pasts to change our attitude for the better.
• When we choose an attitude, we're not choosing a mood. It's not about being happy versus sad. Your attitude is your perspective, and therefore the key source of resilience.
• No "toxic positivity" here. Choosing your attitude does not mean ignoring the severity of a situation. It's okay to feel emotions. Your choice is to stand within that feeling — to understand it, learn by it, and adapt to it. Don’t sweep it under the rug ... but don't let it define you. Your resilience is your strongest asset.
• Life is unpredictable and chaotic, We can’t always control our health, socioeconomic status, or current events, but we can choose how we look at those situations. While we don't get to choose all aspects of our lives, we can always choose our attitude.
• We must be willing to shift our perspective. Sometimes, we must challenge ourselves to better understand others — to listen and empathize, so we can grow together.
• Everyone is struggling with something. We must not deem one person's troubles or trauma as more significant than another's. At the end of the day, all our struggles are equal in that we are currently facing a challenge. And together, we can overcome it.
• The more you challenge others to be great, to uplift them, to be present for them, to have faith in them, the more you learn.
• It’s not the what someone does that concerns us, but the why. The why is what we can and should do better.
• No matter how we feel confident in our mission, not everyone will agree with us — and that’s ok. All we can do is embrace our resilient mindset so we can lead by example.
• What we do today will impact our tomorrow. Don't wait and see; seize the moment as tomorrow is never guaranteed.
• Life is not fixed in stone, so neither should our attitude. We must be humble enough to constantly challenge our perspective, to continually grow and learn.
• We are all perfectly imperfect, unique and accomplished in our own way.
POSITIVE: We try and stay away from toxic positivity. So staying away from this word is best, unless we clearify WHATs positive. We value life's true process of emotions. We do not shy away from these emotions as they ALL are part of the journey. So we strive to make sure we dont pull away from that. So using words like JOY, HAPPINESS are also words we be careful with as we dont want to promise those things.
MENTAL DISABILITY: Mental Health is NOT a disability. or better yet, we dont want to call it as such as its part of being human.
